(this is uncommon. i forget what phone lines have but it aint this) you then feed 5 of the 6 wires into a rs485 to usb (or rs485 to rs232 to usb) in a non-standard order that is as follows: red, black, yellow, green, white. cut off the blue.
come back to this page and clean it up. add the diagram. make it nice.
